Netflixが、『チャーリーとチョコレート工場』のアニメ版の制作開始を改めて発表した。
2020年3月の制作発表から続報がなく先行きが心配されていたが、原作者の児童作家であるロアルド・ダールさんの作品を管理するRDSCと、彼の全作品の権利をNetflixが買収すると9月22日に発表。これに合わせてプロジェクトの進展が発表された形となる。
